The Process Is A Failure (An Intervention)

Hello, Sixers fan or associate of the team, please sit down if you will. We are all here, because we care about you. This is an intervention. It's time to admit that this "Process" is a complete and utter mess. Woah, woah, just sit down and give us a few minutes to share our feelings to you.

-Sam Hinkie was a sham GM. As much as people thought that he was revolutionary in what he was trying to accomplish, he basically just traded everything for draft picks. Sam Presti did the same thing in Oklahoma City, but was more sly about it and was able to get multiple picks for Paul George and Russell Westbrook. The Sixers just stockpiled picks for a rebuild that was called "The Process" and really didn't accomplish much.

Okay, okay, I get it. You're upset, but that's part of the proce....... Anyway, here's another loved one wanting to bare their feelings.

-The draft picks didn't pan out, except Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Look at the list,

Michael Carter-Williams

Nerlens Noel

Dario Saric

Jahlil Okafor

Ben Simmons

Markelle Fultz

Zhaire Smith

None of these prospects play for the Sixers anymore. Fultz is finding his groove in Orlando, after being a shooting dilemma in Philly. Saric is having a solid career in OKC. Ben Simmons has fallen off a map. Also, they drafted Mikal Bridges, who is from Philadelphia. His mother worked for the organization, for God's sakes. He's about to become a star in Brooklyn. Could have used Jrue Holiday during this time. The Teammate of the Year would have been the one to help the 76ers to the promised land. He was traded to New Orleans for the draft rights to Nerlens Noel. Noel didn't pan out.

Okay, okay, the Sixers have been able to bring superstars to the City of Brotherly Love to push them to the top. Jimmy Butler was brought in to establish that. The gamble was going to finally pay off. It didn't. Butler left during that off-season to the Miami Heat and he's going to the NBA Finals. This is a feat that Sixers fans continue to dream about. When Ben Simmons decided to pull a disappearing act, Philly fleeced him to Brooklyn for James Harden. The Beard has been known to want out when a situation gets too hairy for him. Because beard and hairy........anyways, Harden does tend to do the disappearing act himself in crutch time. Unfortunately, the Beard is dreaming of a reunion in Houston and already has one foot out the door.

Alright, if there is a positive, the Sixers have climbed to the top of the NBA after being one of the worst teams during their rebuild. Embiid has become a staple for the franchise and has embraced the "Process" mantra. There is hope for Philly fans to celebrate a title if the club can continue to build a contender.

Well, hopefully, this will help guide you through tough times and the road to redemption. Things look bleak now, but keep hanging on the word "hope." That's all you need.
