The NFL is Being Taken Over by the "Experts"

I was in the middle of the second part of the D-Backs' piece when I had to step in and point something. The free-agent season has become predictable somewhat. It seems as if the predictions that the "experts" have made are coming true. Everyone was picking Kirk Cousins to go to Atlanta, even before the free agency period began. Take a guess where he went? The Falcons. Saquon Barkley went to Philadelphia as expected. The Bears traded Justin Fields so they could select Caleb Williams at #1. The Commanders traded Sam Howell to Seattle to select a quarterback with #2. Same with the Patriots trading Mac Jones to select a quarterback at #3...or are they?

You get the idea. The NFL no longer is a league where you have a "surprise" factor when it comes to free agency and trades. I mean sure, in the past, there were players that were expected to go to certain destinations, but not in the accuracy as this season. The Steelers were predicted by the "experts" to sign Russell Wilson. Many of us sort of snickered about the notion. However, Pittsburgh did the thinkable and signed him. What is happening? The Steelers went out of the box. Also, many experts believed Kenny Pickett wasn't the guy for Pittsburgh....after two seasons. What happened?, they traded him to Philadelphia for low round picks. In a bit irony, the "experts" predicted that they will trade for Justin Fields, which actually occurred. The carousel continues to run.

I want to ask a question, what do you consider a "bust" to be? To me, a "bust" is a player who has high potential, but fails to live up to it after, say, four years. Right now, the "experts" or the people intercewho are regular fans are quick to jump to conclusion if a player doesn't live up to expectations after year one. Take Bryce Young for instance. He was thrusted into a situation where he couldn't control. People were quick to put the "bust" label on him. He gets a mulligan since his offensive line was 😑 and his receiving core was 🗑️ and overall moral was 🤢. Not his fault. When people throw a Trevor Lawrence in this situation, I'm going to have to tell them to pump the brakes there. Sure, T-Law needs to cut down on interceptions, but he is included in a meme where they include him in the 2021 quarterback class, as it is deemed terrible. C'mon, man! Also, some "fans" think there is a chance Mac Jones and T-Law are in a position battle. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆.

Watch out now, NFL, the "experts" are taking over!
