The Learning Experience Continues

If you read my piece about Mel Tucker, you probably saw at the end these peculiar words, "Speaking of Deion"...... I was going to say something about the hype regarding the Colorado football program and the attention that their head coach, Deion Sanders, has provided to the college landscape. However, I decided to do one after the outcome of the Oregon game because everyone knew what was going to happen.

Let's put this to rest, the Ducks were the better team on Saturday, plain and simple. Oregon is a squad that had time to adjust to Dan Lanning's system, while the Buffaloes are still trying to get their feet on the ground. That's what I see, don't you see that? Unfortunately, a lot of people don't see that. Keyshawn Johnson stated that he thinks there was collusion between coaches that gave Oregon the edge. I think that's far-fetched because again, Oregon was the better team. Skip Bayless stated.......actually no, not going there.

As for the Deion and the Buffaloes, this is a learning experience. When was the last time everyone was excited to see Colorado State vs. Colorado? It has never happened. Nearly ten million people, including myself, watched an absolute classic between two rival schools. He is giving the program national attention that hasn't been seen since the Rick Neuheisel days or the National Championship team in the early 90's. Look at your Facebook page or any social media engine, they are everywhere. ESPN is drinking the Kool-Aid, maybe a little too much, when covering this team.

Also, people were complaining about the many celebrities on the Colorado sideline. USC has celebrities on their sidelines like Will Ferrell as Texas has the likes of Matthew McConaughey there. Not really something to complain about.

Well, the Buffaloes have another big showdown on Saturday with USC going to Boulder as they try to get back in the winning column. I doubt it will happen, but this season is the ultimate learning experience.
