Oh, Tony, Not This Again

Look, I don't want to rain on a parade when it should be AEW's biggest night in the history of the company. A lot of praise is being given for AEW and the success from the All-In PPV. They are already guaranteed another event for 2024 and momentum is on their side. This is a great night for the company that couldn't.

Unfortunately, in a flower bed, there is always a pile of (bleep) that is underneath.

Many reports concur that Jack Perry and CM Punk were involved in a heated altercation backstage when Punk was about to come out of the curtain. You are thinking "Oh, no, not this again." Even if Miro can deny the incident happened, it doesn't matter at this point. This has been a recurring theme for AEW. The talent can dictate on the atmosphere in the locker room. When you have the executives also be the talent, then you will have individuals butting heads with each other. If you think this could be avoided, it can be.

Before anyone tells me that I shouldn't bring this up and just talk about the event, I can't. I wasn't able to watch it, but I was able to see reports from the worldwide web. Do yourself a favor, point that finger at Tony Khan. The string of events backstage should have been avoided if TK would have put his foot down. The women's division and their in-fighting, Tony could have laid down the law. With the incident between Sammy Guevara and Andrade, all Tony. The now-infamous All-Out scrum with Tony sitting right next to CM Punk as he buried the EVP's, all could have been squashed. It has become frustrating to see.

Speaking of frustration and CM Punk, how Tony Khan has handled him is baffling. It seems as if Punk runs AEW. They made Collision on Saturday Night his show. Yes, the ratings are nice, but at what cost? He continues to cause trouble. The scrum should have been the first red flag. After that, Khan should have terminated him, but he didn't. He wanted Punk back so badly because he knows CM Punk sells tickets, but again, at what cost? Once again, people are being sent home because Punk wants things done his way. Really, Tony? You had to send Christopher Daniels, a man with 30 years of experience and (clears throat) your Head of Talent Relations, back home because it would cause conflict with Punk? Anyone see anything wrong with that?

Also, Jack Perry deserves blame for this incident. He has had attitude issues and needs to chill out.

When Tony Khan says that not everyone will get along. That's not an excuse! YOU'RE THE (BLEEP)ING BOSS! I said it before and I'll say it again, Tony Khan is too nice to be a wrestling promoter. That's not an indictment against him. He is able to sell over 81000 paid tickets inside a historic stadium and is able to get a commitment for another event next year at Wembley. He needs to get hold of his talent and put his foot down. As much as he wants to be one of the boys, you are not.

You may hate me for pointing this out, but unfortunately, more info will come out and can't sweep it under the rug much longer.
