Do you really think Joe Girardi was the problem? Didn't you do this to Gabe Kapler? You ran him out of town and now, he is having a fruitful tenure in San Francisco. You continue to add more to the payroll. Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos are fine signings, but where do they fit? I get signing Bryce Harper. He is the cornerstone of your team and is worth the money. I laughed at the Zack Wheeler deal, but he has proven me wrong. It's EVERYWHERE else that's the problem.
Your plan of shelling money out and basically, ignoring the farm system is crumbling before our vary eyes. The bullpen has become a tire fire. You have tried to fix it by getting players on one-year contracts instead of building a solid pen. You thought grabbing the cream of the crop in free agency would turn your club into a championship contender.
Nope, nope......big nope there!
Owners of the Philadelphia Phillies and president Dave Dombrowski, it's time to look in the mirror. This isn't working. Maybe it's time to start over and admit failure. If this continues, the same result will happen.
