A.J.'s Guide For Super Bowl Tourists

Hello, visitor. Welcome to Arizona. We are glad to have you here. The Super Bowl is an extravagant event that brings everyone from all parts of the world to celebrate the NFL championship and the festivities that are connect with the game. I will be your guide to what the state can offer you during your stay.

-Right off the bat, the game is held in Glendale, not Phoenix, GLENDALE. Trust me, there is a big difference.

-This state has many nicknames (The Grand Canyon State, State Forty-Eight and the Only State in the Union that doesn't have to change their clocks during Daylight Savings Time).

-If you want to bet, we have casinos......like a lot of casinos in the Phoenix metro area.

-If you are staying near State Farm Stadium and want a beer in a comfortable setting, Westgate is your answer. It is right across the street from the stadium and right in front of Desert Diamond Arena. We used to have a NHL team there.

-Want to jog in the desert settings? Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and bring water. Water will be your best friend. Also, don't touch this.......

Or this......

Sunscreen is also critical for your adventure.

-You want to venture somewhere colder? Drive up north to Prescott, Sedona or Flagstaff. There is snow in Flagstaff. Weird, huh?

-If you want to experience that college town feeling, Tempe is your answer. With their many drinking establishments and eateries, Tempe is the happening place to be. FORKS UP!

-Get a taste of the high class life in Scottsdale. Many celebrities have been there and you can say "I was at a restaurant that the ESPN crew ate at."

-Downtown Phoenix has a lot to offer. Restaurants, spas, hotels, Chase Field, Footprint Center, etc. Here's a tip, take an Uber there, because parking sucks. It really sucks.

-We are also in Renaissance Festival season. Take US-60 to the end of civilization and past Gold Canyon to see lords and ladies and to chomp down on some turkey legs. HUZZAH!

-While on the US-60, take a trip towards the Superstition Mountains to learn about the Lost Dutchman. Be careful driving, though. US-60 IS THE DEVIL!

-Another tip: If you're driving to 315th Ave, you are basically driving towards the end of the earth. Well, it seems like it.

-And finally, (sigh), if you want to see the greatest wonder known as the Grand Canyon, it's an drive to the Northwest.

Well, I hope this helps you on your journey to AZ. Enjoy your stay and tell your friends that you were here before the blistering heat arrived.

Good day.
