It is Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals and I am jamming to the NHL of TNT theme. It is a good one. The crew seemed to try to be like Inside The NBA, but they know their hockey. Vegas takes on Florida for Lord Stanley's Cup in this 2023 version. The crowd at T-Mobile Arena is fired up as the Golden Knights will try to win the Cup in only their sixth year of existence. The Panthers will try to win their first Cup in the franchise's thirty-year history.
Within two minutes of this contest, I had an epiphany.
I've been watching and studying the NHL for about two years and I'm enjoying it. I kept an eye on it through the years, but never really had a gasp on it. To tell you the truth, I am still lost at times. I realize that the game is faster, and they don't use enforcers as much as they used to. Well, there are still enforcers, but they are faster and can score. Also, do they not call offsides anymore? See what I mean. I am what you call "a work-in-progress" so to speak.
So, you are asking, what about the epiphany? In the words of Jim Cornette, just come along on this ride with me. I needed to find a hockey club to hang my hat on. You would think the Arizona Coyotes would be the obvious choice. Unfortunately, since management decided to muck up every situation that was put in front of them, I'm thinking the Coyotes are moving to Houston or Quebec and they just ripped the soul out of every hockey fan here. I'm going to give them consideration since they are the home team, also, (bleep) you management of the Coyotes.
This is going to be a tough process. I am basically doing this format as any elimination reality show that TV will put on, it's the right way. This was also the way I could think of.
So, it is. A.J. begins a journey to where he can finally call a NHL club his one to follow till his last breath. That will take some dedication and probably some lost seasons along the way. It will be fun, I hope.
