Top 10 Wrestlers WWE Should Push In 2018

2017 was another up and down year in WWE land just like 2016. Several performers got the push they deserved while some didn't. Several got the push they didn't deserve and it showed. So here we go with the top 10 wrestlers that should pushed in 2018 by the WWE.

10. Becky Lynch

Out of the Four Horsewomen, Becky Lynch seems like she's lost in the shuffle. In 2017, the other three held the women's title on both shows at least once, except Becky Lynch. What I hope happens is that they do a Lynch/Charlotte angle where Lynch turns heel and WWE invests in a program between the two where Lynch can take the belt from Charlotte and run with it. It could be must see TV.

9. Tye Dillinger

Tye Dillinger probably isn't world championship material, but put the guy in a U.S. title program or a good feud with a quality performer like a Ziggler or a Roode, Dillinger can be your clog between the lower card to mid-card. Hell, fans still will shout "10!,10!,10!" regardless.

8. Luke Harper

Yes, Harper has battled injuries, but like Dillinger he can fill a spot in the card between the lower to mid-card. Take his match with Randy Orton at Elimination Chamber, which I saw live. It wasn't a five star classic, but it was a serviceable match which the crowd began backing Harper and seemed like they appreciated his work. Maybe a different look wouldn't hurt.

7. Nia Jax

This really puzzles me about WWE. Nia Jax reminds me a lot of Awesome Kong and if their thinking is that she is too green for that spot, send her down to NXT. Look at Braun Strowman. Strowman uses power and dominating strength on his opponents much like Jax and doesn't need wrestling holds or maneuvers to get over. Same can happen with Nia Jax. All she needs is a good program,

6. Rusev

It seems like Rusev has been in the WWE doghouse for most of his tenure there. His 10 second match against Randy Orton at Summerslam stunned people and led to spectulation that Rusev wanted to be released. You can say that his tenure has been a waste if only they can figure out what to do with him. Maybe turn him face because Smackdown needs the depth.

5. Bobby Roode

Roode was called up after Summerslam and they made him a face, which I downplayed because I felt that he is a classic heel. Whatever the case, Roode is an established world champion at TNA and NXT and has the experience to head a championship program against Smackdown's biggest stars. Only time will tell if WWE can give him that push needed to accomplish that.

4. Finn Balor/Samoa Joe

I put these two together because they seem to have a similar way for them to be pushed. Both made a splash in their debuts and, unfortunately, both have suffered injuries and suffered through bad bookings. I feel if you rekindle their rivalry from NXT, the WWE Universe will appreciate their matches and it will elevate both men into the Universal title picture. Everybody wins.

3. Drew McIntyre

When WWE released McIntyre in 2014, I thought they wasted away his potential and talent. McIntyre went to TNA/Impact Wrestling and reinvented himself and showed he was focused on being the "Chosen One" as Vince McMahon deemed him. He won the Impact Wrestling World and Grand Championships and after going back to WWE as part of NXT won the NXT title. Bring him to the main roster and let loose.

2. The Miz

In 2010, WWE gave the keys to the future of the company to the Miz. He won the Money In The Bank and later the WWE Championship that year and it seemed like the sky was the limit for him. Unfortunately, it was obvious that he wasn't ready for that spotlight just yet. Now, years later and many Intercontinental title reigns later, the Miz has improved in every aspect in the business and now is that time for him to be that future now.

1. Jinder Mahal

Before anyone thinks I'm going nuts, hear me out. Push him like he should have been pushed to begin with. Have him start from the beginning and put a program with an established veteran to put him over. Then put him in a U.S. title feud where he wins the strap and uses the U.S. title as a platform to talk about how he will take the title back to India and be a national hero. Then after that, they can decide if he is WWE champion material or not. Again, something they should have done to begin with.

So 2018 looks to be a promising year in WWE. And hopefully it is.
